Kind of lazy to upload pictures and all but I just have the urge to upload a video of tap dancing! :DD

Nothing extraordinary happened on the 1st day of CNY. No blood pumping action, yup, nothing at all. Just an ordinary day with the exception of people dressing in red.

I'm treating it as a relatives gathering at someone's home and cum a birthday celebration? Because that's also a time when you receive red packets.

As I get older, public holidays which used to get my adrenalin rush and the anticipation of counting down are all gone. Yes, not even 1% is left. I don't anticipate much as the years passed by, not much fun and laughter is left huh.

I think the naive thinking of little kids are gone in me. Yup, it's totally vanished. As one gets older, a person has a much more matured thinking which is why adults don't really fancy stuff and they treat it like some sort of gimmicks, be it Father's Day, Mother's Day etc etc.

13 ang baos sitting on table waiting for me to open it and I don't really have any high hopes of increasing my bank account with a few hundreds. Oh which reminds me, I think I left 2 sets(1 for me and 1 for my bro) of red packets at my uncle's place.

See how depressing my CNY is?

Well.

I'm going to start off with a negative note. My mom lost her handphone on Friday and it's W890i.


Yes, that was the phone.

My mom had no recollection of where she had lost it. It's a long story but I don't think I'm gonna type all the nitty gritty details down here.

So on Friday, I didn't attend school because it was Enterprise. Since it was the last day of school, we decided to have dinner together but only 8 turned up as majority didn't attend school and it was kind of a last minute plan. We dined at Pizza Hut :)

Had a short mingling session with them then Vivian and I head off for Hip Hop class while Syafiqah headed off for her netball practice!

Vivian and I rushed to O School and luckily we made it on time! It's very rude to reach class late you know! Friday was the 1st lesson of the choreograph part so it's a must not miss and a must not be late lesson!!!

In the end, we learnt 2 counts of 8 and that's it!

After lesson, I went to Chinatown to look for mom and dad! Walked around a little but much to our dismay, a lot of shops at People's Park were closed! I thought I could get some accessories or something from there! =(

We decided to have some dessert at this famous shop at Temple Street which is just opposite MacDonald's! And they added something new to the menu which was similar to Sliced Iced so I decided to order it and give it a try!

Yup, after that we head home and by the time we reached home, it was 12midnight!

Had a little rough day today(Saturday), deliberating with mom and dad whether to get a new phone. =\

Emotions ran high and low.

Thought I would get a new phone just before Chinese New Year but but but ..... =(

The outcome?

Mom's gonna get a rugged phone, to put it bluntly, cheapo. Maybe around $100 or so.

I'm gonna get a ............

Yup, Omnia.

But, only after 17 February because that's when mom's contract ends.

I'm feeling very guilty right now because now the economy is not doing very well and this is the time to save and not splurge. But whenever I see a new phone coming out or whoever contract is ending, I would always have this urge to change a new phone. Then sometimes, I would be quite selfish and not care about saving for rainy day and insist that I want a new phone.

But everything is not confirm yet, but my dad said that he would contribute half and I contribute the other as I can't rely on him buying phones for me huh.

I told him that it's alright if he finds the phone expensive and I could pay the full amount myself but he still insist that he's gonna contribute half which is $299.

If I'm very filial, then I would probably not bug him for a new phone when 17 Feb comes.. But it's just the temptation of getting a touch phone you know!

I still have 24 days to decide whether to buy a Samsung Omnia or just settle with a phone within a cheaper range. Or maybe let my mom have the newer phone and I shall stick to my lousy W910i.

Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

And, Megan, I'm starting to miss you!!!! =(

Hahaha. I was webcam-ing with Megan on Wednesday! Considering it to be my first time doing it, it was pretty fun! =D

Yay! Today is the 20th of January 2009 which means that Barack Obama is officially taking over the place of George Washington Bush! Yes, he’s the 44th president of USA and he is the 1st black president!

I know I sound patriotic towards another country which I shouldn't but I feel that Obama is going to do wonders to the country and solve this economic recession!

I skipped school on that day just for shopping and what's more I already know that it's going to be physics so I decided not to attend school! So I went shopping with mom and bro at Tangs and Far East!

We started off wandering around aimlessly at TANGS and found nothing which we fancy. Then we proceeded onto Far East which I saw Vivian twice! She attended school but skipped at 12pm :)

So I tried on a couple of dresses and found both I like at different shops! So mummy bought both of them for meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

And there's this shirt which I liked very much but mommy said I had to pay for it since she already bought 2 dresses, 1 overall and 1 black glossy leggings for me already! But, since my bro used his credit card which the amount was deducted from my dad's account, and no one seems to remember I owe them $38 for the shirt.... SO SO SO.. this means that I got it for free! Thanks to dad which he still doesn't know! :D

Sssssssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Yup! This was the shirt that I got it for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! x)

So we had Sliced Ice! After that, bro went home first because he was a little sick, so I accompanied mum to Outram park to look for her Karaoke CD. Immediately after that, we went straight home and of course we had dinner at a nearby Community Centre near my home. Then it was home sweet home!

This is the first year that I've got so many clothes to wear!!!!! HAHAHAHA!

I'm still grinning from ear to ear even as I'm typing this whole entry down!

Alright, first let me say that I'm back from JB and I'll share with you about that later :)

Let me start off by writing about last week, starting from 9 Jan, Friday.

Okay, so it was about 3 years since I last stepped into a dance studio. I joined this hip hop level 1 at "O school" with Vivian.


The instructor, An an, taught us the basic of hip hop and said that hip hop is categorised into 2 types which was up and down.

So she taught us the down movement but before that of course there was warm up, stretching which made my thighs, calf and my back ached so much for around 1 week! Walking up the stairs was a hassle for me! But I did enjoyed the lesson because it was not as torturous as Ms Sharon's classes. Squeezing into the mrt with the office people was so horrible despite my whole body aching all over!

Saturday, 10 Jan!

D-Party of the Year! ^^

Yup, I went to Derrick's party! Glad to see him again after 3 long months! :)
Can see that he missed Singapore so much and was touched that everyone of us could make it! He sang quite a number of songs and he even played his guitar! There's was a tiny winy part of Beat-box at the end of the performance!

Shi Xin Hui appeared as the guest star at the start of the performance!






There were prizese given out, and those lucky people were chosen by ..... a poker card inside their goodie bag which was given out to everyone!





Okay.

First of all. I'm back.

Second, I wanted to upload photos here but blogger had something against me which it only uploaded 3 pictures for every 5 I inserted.

So you tell me how to blog? =(

Thirdly, look at the time now, 12.43am which means it's Saturday now.

Lastly, Saturday means that I'm going to JB!

I came home from dance a few hours ago and my brother just broke the news to me! He said "EH! Let's go JB tomorrow!"

Why is my brother so excited?

1) He's going there to collect his contact lens which he ordered a week or 2 ago.

2) CNY is coming in a week's time and it would be horribly to be stuck in a jam especially with this festive season right? So we're going earlier?

3) Bro and I, both of us are going to have a hair cut there since it's cheap :D

4) 顺便catch a movie or 2 since it's cheap.

5) Go there to see if there are any nice clothes ALTHOUGH we both already have CNY clothes!

6) Erm...? Since everything there is cheap? ^^

Oh, sincere apologies to Vivian and Samantha!

Vivian, I know I promised you to go shopping tomorrow but but but, my brother so 突然.

But but but, we shall skip school on 1 fine day next week and carry on with the plan okay?

I promise you 2 something IF I MANAGE TO SEE ANY CUTE THINGS IN JB AND AND AND ONLY IF I HAVE $$$$$.

And oh, not forgetting Megan too! And the rest IF I HAVE SPARE CASH LEFT OKAY.

HERE'S MY PROUD MOMENT!

The colour kind of suits my current hair colour! Vivian's one was pink which she still insisted it was red x)

Anyway, I need to study for tomorrow's UT! I need to get very good result for that!

School just started yesterday.

The blues didn't get me because I'm so looking forward to the holidays which are coming in approximately 2 weeks and 3 days! :D

How can the blues get me so easily right?!

I didn't feel excited about the first day of school which I've yet to find an answer for it.

Computing and Maths to start my day off which in fact did used quite a lot of my brain. Factorisation, to be in detail.

When I was doing it, flashbacks of me stuck in secondary school struggling to complete assignment kept entering into my brain. The thought of Mr Leong reprimanding us, making me fed up and dread attending his lessons etc etc.

And of course, the part whereby I dislike Mdm Yap from the start of the term and the part she showed off her talent by blowing the harmonica in class! Hahaaaaaa! I still have that video in my phone!! Such moments are memorable you know.

I taught the class another name for the cross multiply method, which is Ultraman!

So after class, I shared a cab ride with Vivian and Shi Jie to Woodlands Interchange :DD

Then, mummy called me to see how are we going to settle our dinner. So in the end, my whole family settled it at a coffeeshop near my house :)

Then I had ice-cream!

Oh and to add that, Megan brought us TAU SA PIAH FROM SABAH! Hahaha, the smaller version than the one my mom bought for me!

HO HO HO.

Guess what?

I went to jog after reaching home from school! Yes, JOGGING!

I asked my brother whether he wanted to come along, because he had a fall when he was cycling at Pengerang on Saturday but he went with me in the end!

My stamina was very weak. I barely jog for half a round and my legs were aching already!

Then we went to the gym and I jogged on the treadmail :D

Yup, that's about it!

The reason I'm typing point by point above is that MY DINNER IS HERE! AND I CAN'T WAIT TO EAT NOW!

Hello people!

Yesterday, I went out with Vivian and Samantha to catch Bedtime Stories!



It was kind of a last minute outing because initially Vivian already had plans to go to her friend's house and out with her cousin in the evening. So I received an sms around 10.30am saying that she's free. So I called Sam up and surprisingly she picked up my call just for the first time! Before that, I got a feeling that she won't pick her phone, being a heavy sleeper, even if she did not put her phone to slient mode, the ring tone wouldn't wake her up.

She told me that she purposely put the ringtone volume to the maximum so that she can answer the calls.

We decided to watch at Cineleisure, 2pm at Somerset MRT Station. Okay, maybe I was the one who planned everything because 1 still wants to sleep and the other wants to read her novel. Being a good samaritan, I planned it!

With Sam around, punctuality was not in everyone's dictionary then. Knowing that Sam would be late, so Vivian and I always was DELIBERATELY late for an outing. I went out of my house at 1.30pm (remember the time to meet was 2pm). Much to my dismay, at 1.53pm, Vivian said that she's still at home.

Okay, so poor me sat at the Somerset station waiting for those 2 tardy queens to arrive. I didn't want to tap out first because I was standing all the way from Tampines to City Hall and to Somerset so I decided to have a seat and give my legs a rest.

At 2.50pm, both of them finally arrived! Then, we rushed to buy our tickets and much to our dismay, the queue was bloody long and there were only 2 available counters. This means, we're going to be late for the movie, we can't watch the 5pm one because Vivian needed to meet her cousin later in the evening.

So we kind of missed 5minutes or so.

After the movie, we then decided to have our lunch or rather my brunch at the foodcourt at the Basement Level.

I ordered prawn noodles.

The China woman asked me(of course in Mandarin): "Aiyo, I put too much noodles already. So is it alright with you?"

I(grinning from ear to ear) said: "Sure! No problem!"

In my heart I was thinking, you give me another bowl for free, I will be more than delighted to accept it! :D

Then, we walked to Far East Plaza and shopped a little while, but we don't know why, we didn't have the "HIGH" mood to shop yesterday! Perhaps, we were all sleepy.

Yup, so we decided to go and had 'ice kachang' which is "Sliced Ice" located at the Basement Level near a Korean Restaurant there, it's situated at a corner.

The names for the desserts were quite unique, they were named like "First Date", "Major Crush", "Breakfast In Bed" etc etc.

Vivian and I ordered "Major Crush" while Samanatha ordered "First Date". It was kind of weird saying our orders to the person taking our orders because it's like hitting on the person lah! Hahahahaha!

So our orders came and they made 3 of the same flavour! But they made a mistake! Sam's was supposed to be different from Vivian's and mine.

Yup, so here's mine!

Take a close look at the ice! They had this machine which made it into piece by piece. YES, PIECE! It's like a longer version of those grated coconut. (I know you can't really see the detail in the picture below)

I hope God will help us get us over this recession because it's been rumoured that 2009 isn't a very good year unlike the previous years. I hope everything just goes well.

And as for my New Year's resolution..

I shall think about it first :D

Well for everyone, I hope that everyone would be in the pink of health, for those who are studying do keep up the hard work and hope that your results improve! And and and, hope there won't be much retrenchment because this would be equivalent to lesser Ang Pow munny.
