D&D at Resort World Sentosa!

About 2 months ago, I attended the company's D&D with my colleagues! As you guys know, I performed a K-Pop dance routine and what's more ...... I performed right smack infront of the minister's table! Red table, don't play play.

The audition for the performance was conducted a couple of weeks before the actual performance so I had time to think bout what to perform and I performed "Roly Poly" for the audition. A week passed and I got selected to perform for the D&D. (Like duh, everyone loves Loly Poly, of course they had to choose me. Just kidding.)

So after work for 2-3 consecutive days, I went round Bugis Street and Far East Plaza to look clothes and accessories for my performance. Finally managed to mix and match everything to give that retro look.

Alright D&D!

The performers had to arrive early for rehearsals! I manage to make my way to Resort World Sentosa and to the ballroom. Call me slow, but yeah that was the first time I actually place my foot there.

(The photos here are my own's and my colleague's, so spot the difference in the quality of the photos.)

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! It's gonna crash!"

Photobucket

"Phew."

It was pretty empty when I arrived at the ballroom as it was still early, the other 2 performers were there waiting for their turn to perform. They did a couple of times but as for me *flicks hair*, only once and done. ^^

Photobucket

Here's one of the performers having their rehearsal.

Had ample time to rest and relax, so I went around taking photos.

Still empty.

Entrance.

Photobucket

A kind random guy offered to take a photo for me with the entrance. He must have saw me taking shots of everything there except myself ._.

(A tad too far.)

Ha.

Photobucket

A little closer this time.

Even after taking shots here and there, there was still plenty of time so I went back into the ballroom and started snapping again.

Photobucket

The ballroom.

Bet ya never get to see this right.

Photobucket

So, what's on the menu?

Photobucket

Here it is!

The organizing committee rehearsing for their opening performance with their instructor.

Photobucket

Them having their rehearsal as well.

There was a guy in charge of the performers and he kept asking me whether was I alright or not and whether do I need to take a break or have another shot at the rehearsal etc, all I can say was that I was well taken care of. (Y)

Wait, perhaps I was looking bored and lonely walking around aimlessly.

Soon, Lydia came! We registered, got our free water tumbler and took some photos.

Our ticket to enter the lucky draw!

Here's the water tumbler and a pen.

Photobucket

I extended the line a little longer than usual.

Photobucket

Was digging Jiyeon's look.

She gave that very proud look while performing during their comeback stage and I thought she was literally being proud and stuck up. But soon I realize, she did that on purpose for "Roly Poly".

She's pretty when she smiles :)

The crowd starting to pour when it was close to the starting time and my other colleagues came too!

Photobucket

:D

I tell you, I felt so out of place when everyone came in their formal attire and I was the outstanding one. So colourful and retro and people must be wondering "What on earth is she wearing?! So under dress!"

Awkward you know.

I didn't want to wear my dress before performing because I don't like the kan chiong feeling of having to gobble a few mouthfuls of food before heading towards the toilet to change and rush for my performance. What's more nobody really told me when I was performing, all I knew I was the second to perform.

There was some time left, so we decided to head out and explored. (Imagined what time I came man!) Of course, we had to take a photo with the classic icon. No matter what, you just have to take a photo with the globe when you're there.

We wandered more and .....

Photobucket

"Hmmmm, what are they looking at?"

Photobucket

"Crane Dance!"

Photobucket

"Combining groundbreaking audio and visual technologies, astounding light and water effects, be awed by the cranes' graceful courtship ritual. The sheer size of the steel cranes moving deftly in the midst of water illusion and play of light is one not to be missed."

Love birds.

Soon, it was time to head in!

Photobucket

Guys.

Photobucket

Girls.

As you can see, my mask was the only one that was not some ordinary cheapo kind.
I paid $24 for it. Please tell me it's pretty, tyvm.

Costed more than my dress! (which you will see later on)

Photobucket

Took a photo with a well-dressed lady.

All dressed up for the Masquerade theme and the occasion!

Really, kudos to her and a few more!

The food came shortly,

Photobucket

First up, cold dish.

Different varieties, I like.

Photobucket

Traditional Braised Thick Soup with Shredded Seafood

Photobucket

Roasted Chicken with Prawn Crackers Topping

Photobucket

My colleague, "Let's put the chicken head on the top!"

Sorry, there isn't a photo of the steamed fish because I was waiting for my turn to perform!

Photobucket

You guys ready to Roly Poly with me?

Photobucket

You sure???

Right.

Here it is!

I did "Roly Poly" and "Genie" by T-ara and Girls' Generation respectively. Edited the songs by myself too.

Some of you may have watch it before because I posted this up a couple of times. So if you want to view my videos first hand, SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube Channel!

(While I was waiting for my turn to perform, Charles Stitch Wong was beat-boxing on stage. The name seems familiar? He was one of the finalist from Singapore Idol Season 3.)

I had a smile of my face after I performed. Been a while since I last performed in front of a large crowd. Yeah, no stage fright nor goosebumps.

I love performing and I love the stage.

The comments/feedbacks that I received from my colleagues were all positive and random people came up to me and thanked me for giving such an energetic performance. The CEO even shook my hand when he was heading out after the D&D, and complimented me when I bumped into him the other day.

All these just makes everything that I put in worth it. I cannot be more thankful when random people recognize me in the office building and give me positive comments.

Appreciate it a lot.

Back to food.

Photobucket

Wok-Fried Sliced Topshell with Celery and Bell Pepper in Chilli Lime Sauce

Photobucket

Braised Flower Mushroom with Seasonal Vegetables

a.k.a.

Mushroom with broccoli.

Photobucket

Fried rice with Mixed Meat Wrapped in Lotus Leaf

There were other performances as well and there was an impersonation of Lydia Sum!

Photobucket

Looks like right?

Her performance was hilarious. She managed to get some guys up on stage to see if there were able to carry her! My colleagues and I were laughing non-stop. (okay, I know very bad but...)

And the participants walked away with vouchers!

For dessert:

Photobucket

Chilled Longan with Sea Coconut and Aloe Vera

Overall, the food wasn't nice. Really. And I was expecting it to be a sumptuous dinner judging by the name. But well, I believed everyone else enjoyed the performances displayed by the performers and enjoyed the company of each other too.

After that, D&D ended and everyone headed home.

Here's 2 photos of my dress that I changed into after my performance:

Photobucket

(I know. Stop looking at my little tummy bulging out will you!)

Just admire my long legs, YES THEY ARE LONG AND I AM VERY PROUD OF THAT.

Given my height, my legs are considered long and they're even longer than my friends', who are much more taller than me. This is also why people say/feel that I'm taller than my actual height.

Tsk, quit looking at my tummy!

Photobucket

With the mask.

*winks*

Pssssssssssssssst! The dress is only RM25!!

Freaking mask costed more than the dress.

Here's the original dance that I did by the respective girl groups!

"Roly Poly" by T-ara

Jiyeon is the one with the purple bow on her blouse.

(But she didn't appear 'proud' on this performance.)

"Genie" by Girls' Generation

This is the Japanese version.

Alright! So this sums it all up!

Annyeong!
*waves*
