Yes, I joined this year's audition, again.
I didn't really inform anyone bout this because I wanted to keep it a secret until after the audition. My parents were informed bout it like yesterday and they're getting used to me telling them I joined this and that at the eleventh hour. I was counting down to the audition months ago, better yet, a year ago. Thankfully, they didn't remove the dance category this year, otherwise my anticipation and effort would be in vain. This year, I danced.
I woke up bright and early today and headed down to MDIS, Queenstown for the audition. Many people were there when I reached. After waiting for a while, we were asked to move to the auditorium which is also the waiting/holding area. Submitted the forms and got our number and the waiting starts.
2PM.
The other participants which I heard almost totalled up to a thousand.
Razor Pop reporters and some other reporters were there as well.
My number, 1080.
Go buy 4D.
At first I was feeling confident but as time went by, it sunk. Then it went back up again after I did the routine and warm up, then it dipped again.
THE WAITING TIME WAS KILLING ME I TELL YOU.
But not enough to drive me crazy, yet.
You know, you tend to think more when you have so much time to spare.
Finally, it was my turn. I danced to "The Boys" by Girls' Generation, but of course I edited the song. This time I felt much more confident compared to last year's because you know dancing is more of my forte than singing. Results should most probably be out in a month's time or so, so what's left to do is to wait and countdown to Chinese New Year.
On my way back home, I decided to reward myself by having McDonald's. McSpicy meal and additional packet of twister fries. Never felt so good before.
I'm grateful for my colleagues that wished me good luck. All it takes is just 1 person to believe in me and I will work out the rest. No matter what it takes, I will be prepared.
Annyeong.
